Each gradient was created from a close-up picture of stone or natural features of the Atlantic coastline. They are generally grouped into categories that share similar hues. Also, while many of the gradients are entirely unmodified from the original source picture, others are duplicates where the saturation has been increased to draw out the underlying colors.
